Industrial and Scientific Photography

Industrial and scientific photography has multiple applications in the corporate and scientific community. It often reveals what happens either too fast or too slow to be perceived. High-speed exposures can often reveal the hidden intricacies of fluid dynamics or structural failure. Time-lapse photography can also illustrate slow processes by presenting them at a faster speed. Another example of this type of photography is alternative spectrum photography, which captures images in spectrums that are invisible to the human eye. Near infrared and near ultra violet are two examples of the spectrums that are easily recorded by every-day cameras. Microscopic photography also falls under the umbrella of industrial and scientific photography. These techniques are often used for commercial and advertising purposes as well as for research.
